As 2026 approaches, Marubishi Corporation, the Japanese manufacturer behind the innovative TOMA-TOP retractable hardtop windshield system, is reaffirming its strong commitment to the U.S. market. Following a productive year of expansion and visibility, it’s entering the new year with clear momentum and a deepening connection to the American boating community.
Designed for flybridge yachts from 28 to 50 feet, the TOMA-TOP system offers captains and owners the flexibility to enjoy open-air cruising or full weather protection at the touch of a button. Engineered for quiet, seamless operation, its precision design reflects the Japanese philosophy of craftsmanship and efficiency. Simultaneously, it meets the demands of discerning U.S. yacht owners and builders.
To kick off strategic planning for the new year, the entire TOMA-TOP leadership team convened during the IBEX 2025 show in Tampa. They included president Hiroto Tomatsu, U.S. representative Rick Thomas, and Global Connect Marketing principal Julie Balzano, Together, they outlined their roadmap for expanding relationships with U.S. OEM builders, shipyards, owners, and brokers while continuing to enhance after-sales service and brand visibility across North America.
“America remains a core pillar in our global growth strategy,” Tomatsu said. “Our goal for 2026 is to deepen our brand visibility and foster our partnerships we’ve built, especially with companies that share our commitment to quality, innovation, and reliability.”
A key milestone in that direction was Marubishi’s 2025 membership in the U.S. Superyacht Association (USSA). The company views this affiliation as a way to strengthen collaboration within the American yachting community. Additionally, it’s a way to support the USSA’s mission of promoting excellence and advocacy across the superyacht sector. “Being part of the USSA gives us a platform to learn, contribute, and grow alongside the best in the industry,” said Tomatsu. “It reflects our long-term investment in the U.S. market.”
As Marubishi continues to expand its global footprint, it remains focused on its founding principles. Namely, they are engineering excellence, customer satisfaction, and innovation driven by collaboration. The company’s growing U.S. presence, strategic partnerships, and participation in key industry associations demonstrate that commitment in action.
