FORT LAUDERDALE – The U.S. Superyacht Association is once again gathering it’s forces at Simpson Bay in St Maarten, the Netherland Antilles on January 17th & 18th, 2007. The purpose as always is to promote U.S. businesses and report to the megayachts captains and crew about the industry issues which directly affect them. This year’s topics will range from the latest regulations regarding re-entry into the United States to lack of adequate berthing in the U. S.
William (Billy) S. Smith III, Vice President of Trinity Yachts, LLC and Vice Chair of the USSA, will be moderating a panel of dignitaries that range from the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale to the Deputy Director of the U.S. Customs & Border Protection.
Billy has been instrumental in establishing Trinity Yachts as one of the elite yacht builders in the world and has generated over $100 million in sales with a prestigious worldwide clientele. He is well versed with all the issues in the “large boat” world.
John Mann, chairperson for the USSA Advocacy committee, states, “We are very excited about the level of interest from prominent people who can help to make a real difference about issues that affect the marine industry’s economy in the U.S.
The event starts on Thursday, January 17th with vendors available to the Captains and crew from 3:00-6:00 to discuss their products with the panel discussion to follow from 6:00-7:30. The event continues on Friday January 18th from 10:00-5:00 with the USSA participants once again available to meet the megayacht crews.
The U.S. Superyacht Association has a diverse, worldwide membership. If you would like to be able to promote your business to the world’s Superyacht market, membership is open to any businesses and/or individuals who have a bona fide U.S. presence and activity in the Superyacht Industry.
